Custom-Built Stainless Steel Products
Built In-House, Built to Fit, Built to Last
Rainstopper isn’t just an off-the-shelf manufacturer. We’ve spent more than 50 years solving field problems with a full in-house fabrication shop, multiple U.S. patents, and the kind of hands-on experience that comes from working directly with municipalities and contractors.
Sometimes that means customizing one of our standard manhole inserts for an off-spec condition. Sometimes it means fabricating a durable stainless steel part when the original is unavailable, backordered, or no longer meeting the demands of the job.
After Hurricane Sandy, the New York MTA needed insert solutions for infrastructure challenges no standard product addressed: oversized openings, protruding locking lugs, and gas monitoring requirements. We didn’t have an off-the-shelf answer, so we engineered one. More than 250 units later, that work is still protecting infrastructure across all five boroughs.
That same approach applies to standalone fabrication work, like the following piece below.
Formed from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel, this replacement wall mount bracket is built for long-term durability in wastewater and open-channel flow monitoring applications.
Designed to fit Hach 2974 / US9001-style ultrasonic sensor installations, the fixed-angle body holds the sensor in a stable down-looking position. A 316 stainless steel option is also available for more corrosive environments.
We built this bracket because a customer needed one and OEM stock was not available. It is a good example of the gap we fill: when a part is backordered, discontinued, or hard to find, we can often fabricate a durable replacement in-house.
Price: $135
Note: Hach part numbers are referenced for compatibility identification only. Verify wall-hole pattern and dimensions against your existing bracket before ordering.
