Manhole Measurement
Accurate frame and cover measurements are absolutely critical for the successful elimination of inflow. While carefully following the instructions included on the Rainstopper Measurement Worksheet, measure and record the physical dimensions for each unique manhole frame and cover. Enter the desired quantity for each measurement configuration.

Acceptance & Storage
Proper storage helps ensure a long service life. Long-term exposure to UV rays can deteriorate the gasket, so stored units should be protected from direct sunlight. Rainstopper leaving shrink-wrapped units on pallets if stored outdoors or storing unpackaged units indoors away from UV exposure. HDPE units should follow the same basic handling guidelines and be stored on flat, stable pallets.
Installation Instructions
To install the Rainstopper, remove the manhole lid. Clean all dirt and debris from the manhole frame. Add grease and twist the unit 90 degrees when setting it down, then seat the Rainstopper in the manhole frame rim. Replace the manhole lid and ensure it sits flush with the frame to prevent tripping hazards. Once installed, no maintenance is required.
Warranty Information
Limited Fifteen-Year Replacement Warranty (Stainless Steel Models):
If an insert is defective in materials or workmanship within fifteen years of purchase, it will be replaced free of charge by Rainstopper if not damaged through mishandling, accident, or abnormal use. Warranty excludes replacement of handle, valve, and gasket components.
Limited One-Year Replacement Warranty (HDPE Models):
If an insert is defective in materials or workmanship within one year of purchase, it will be replaced free of charge by Rainstopper if not damaged through mishandling, accident, or abnormal use. Consequential damages not covered where prohibited by law.
